It looks like True Blood viewers will be seeing a lot more of the American Vampire League on season four.

Jessica Tuck, who has appeared on the HBO hit since season one as spokeswoman Nan Flannigan, has been promoted to series regular. This piece of casting news follows the announcement that Courtney Ford will also play a key role next summer.

Deadline Hollywood has also revealed the addition of three new actress/characters to the show. They are:

• Janina Gavankar as Luna, a sexy public school teacher and shapeshifter.
• Alexandra Breckenridge as Daisy, a member of a wiccan group formed by Fiona Shaw's Marnie.
• Vedette Lim as Naomi, a cage fighter.

I have to say, I am endlessly fascinated by Bar Karma, the internet's newest television-based experiment which will feature heavy, heavy input by fans. The show, which stars True Blood's William Sanderson, looks like something you might see on SyFy, but the neat thing is, everything comes from the heads of the fans, from entire episode arcs to how to integrate product placement into the storyline. It'll be interesting to see if the show is a success or failure -- if it's a success, we could be seeing more shows like it popping up in the future.

While I'm still not incredibly sure how this will work out (or even what it's about), I'll certainly keep my eyes on this intriguing internet experiment. After all, it does have the aforementioned William Sanderson, who is a genre hero: he's been in everything from Blade Runner to LOST to True Blood. I might just watch it for his fantastic acting. Will the stories be able to keep up? That's for us to decide.

Courtney Ford has landed yet another key recurring role.

The actress - who portrayed Trinity's daughter on Dexter and, most recently, a graduate student on The Vampire Diaries - will come on board season four of True Blood as Andy sister, Portia Bellefleur.

As first reported by Deadline Hollywood, look for this southern beauty to run her own law practice.

Earlier this week, the show also announced that Fiona Shaw will play a local psychic who gets possessed by a witch. The fourth season of this HBO smash doesn't return until the summer of 2011.

Season four of True Blood won't air until the summer of 2011. But we already know it will focus on witches.

From the mind that brought to life the shows Pushing Daisies and Dead Like Me, comes a reboot of a cult classic. Bryan Fuller is working on rebooting the 1960’s television series The Munsters for NBC. So far, a pilot has been ordered and the project has been described “Modern Family meets True Blood.”

Looks like fans might be able to expect a little more girl-on-girl vampire action in future episodes of True Blood.

When asked by Advocate if he's planning on introducing any more gay characters to the series, creator Alan Ball replied by stating that Eric's sidekick Pam Ravenscroft, played by Kristin Bauer, has a "lesbian vibe" and "certainly appreciates women."

When asked by E!Online, Bauer responded by saying "I wouldn't be surprised. I think she's pansexual."

She also confirmed which lucky lady she'd like to go for - Ginger, played by Tara Buck.

"There are so many hot ones, but I'll pick Ginger," Bauer said. "Ginger's hot. Ginger's fun. She's a screamer and she's a blood donor."

Spike TV's 2009 Scream Awards played out on Saturday, October 17, honoring achievements in science fiction, fantasy and horror.  These are awesome awards that make a mockery of both the Oscar's and the Emmy's, so good job Spike TV!

The big wins this year go to J.J. Abrams' Star Trek, followed by Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen, then Twilight and True Blood.

There was a downside though. In what I consider to be worthy of the Ultimate Turd Award, William Shatner stepped up to accept the Ultimate Scream award for Star Trek. Honestly, the guy didn't star in it and admits to having never seen the film.  He's been nothing but disrespectful to the whole thing, so why he was given the opportunity to allow his ego to steal anyone else's thunder is beyond me.  To make matters worse, listen to what his all-mighty-bloatedness had to say:

"J.J., I’ll handle this. This movie was big. Imagine how big it could have been with me in it? … I’ll be waiting for your call."

Clearly everyone was in on the "surprise", but personally I found this moment to be a mockery of a great film.
