Screenwriter Ben Ripley (Source Code) is currently writing the script for 7th Day, which is based on an original idea that he concocted with Shane Abbess (Gabriel), who has been hired by producer Martha De Laurentiis (Red Dragon) to direct 7th Day.

According to Variety, the story centers on a journey to create a new colony in outer space, and is described as The Shining on a space station.

Director Shane Abbess recently said,

“7th Day is going to be a contemporary take…

The A-Team was one of our guilty 2010 pleasures, and that was mostly thanks to director Joe Carnahan's assured grip on the daft action scenes.

This year, though, the director is getting back to his indie roots with thriller The Grey. A bare bones, white knuckle ride, it follows a group of roughnecks whose plane crashes in the wilds of Alaska.

There, they have to fight to survive against the resident wolves, who think they’ve just been delivered…

I decided to see the Dowdle Brothers' new film Devil, produced and conceived by M. Night Shyamalan, this weekend as I thought the concept was quite intriguing and I was very curious to check it out. I actually enjoyed it, maybe because I'm a sucker for these kind of concepts and Shyamalan's dark, twisted stories, but it wasn't perfect by any means, especially the screenplay itself, which was actually written by Brian Nelson (of Hard Candy,…
