Glee touched on the King of Pop this week, covering songs by both The Jackson 5 and Michael himself.

But fans of MJ are in for a real treat on January 24.

TV Guide Magazine reports that Ryan Murphy and company are fast-tracking a Michael Jackson tribute episode for that date, as it will feature 10-12 tracks by the iconic artist and start shooting this week.

Aside from last night's singles, Glee also famously put on its own version of "Thriller" following last year's Super Bowl.

Just last month, we brought you an interview with director Ridley Scott. The legendary director dropped a few minor details about the story and characters in his hotly anticipated forthcoming sci-fi epic, Prometheus.

Now, in the latest issue of Entertainment Weekly, the magazine has published a handful of  photos from the film. The images feature a look at cast members Noomi Rapace, Charlize Theron, Michael Fassbender, Idris Elba and Logan Marshall-Green, along with a look at the awesome set design. Synopsis:

“Ridley Scott, director of “Alien” and “Blade Runner,” returns to the genre he helped define. We’ve got the world exclusive first look at the trailer for astonishing British thriller Kill List.

Directed by Ben Wheatley, Kill List is the movie Total Film are getting behind at FrightFest 2011.

It follows the violent mission of a former soldier turned hitman, and, as you can see from the trailer [below], it’s dripping with tension and has atmosphere to spare.

“Given to gloriously unpredictable, violent mood swings, Kill List is the best British genre film in years,” says Jamie Graham, Deputy Editor of Total Film Magazine, in his five-star TF review.

“Down Terrace announced director Ben Wheatley as One To Watch. Kill List ensures that Hollywood will now snap to attention.”

Kill List will premiere at FrightFest on Sunday 28 August and opens in the UK on 2 September.

Screenwriter Ben Ripley (Source Code) is currently writing the script for 7th Day, which is based on an original idea that he concocted with Shane Abbess (Gabriel), who has been hired by producer Martha De Laurentiis (Red Dragon) to direct 7th Day.

According to Variety, the story centers on a journey to create a new colony in outer space, and is described as The Shining on a space station.

Director Shane Abbess recently said,

“7th Day is going to be a contemporary take with the soul of classic genre.”

Ripley also commented about the twists that he’s incorporated into the screenplay:

“We tried to design sequences at every turn which would surprise us and subvert genre expectations.”

De Laurentiis had this to say about the film:

“We are always looking for young, inspiring filmmakers wanting to tell a unique, high-concept story, and after meeting Shane, I decided to immediately snap the property off the market.”

No production or release dates have been announced.

The A-Team was one of our guilty 2010 pleasures, and that was mostly thanks to director Joe Carnahan's assured grip on the daft action scenes.

This year, though, the director is getting back to his indie roots with thriller The Grey. A bare bones, white knuckle ride, it follows a group of roughnecks whose plane crashes in the wilds of Alaska.

There, they have to fight to survive against the resident wolves, who think they’ve just been delivered a three course meal.

A-Team star Liam Neeson heads up a cast that includes the less well-known Dallas Roberts (Rubicon), Frank Grillo (My Soul To Take), Dermot Mulroney (Inhale),  Nonso Anozie (RocknRolla) and Joe Anderson (The Crazies).

As an interesting aside, The Grey’s budget is about one fifth of the budget of A-Team. No giant air-borne tank fights this time, then.

I decided to see the Dowdle Brothers' new film Devil, produced and conceived by M. Night Shyamalan, this weekend as I thought the concept was quite intriguing and I was very curious to check it out. I actually enjoyed it, maybe because I'm a sucker for these kind of concepts and Shyamalan's dark, twisted stories, but it wasn't perfect by any means, especially the screenplay itself, which was actually written by Brian Nelson (of Hard Candy, 30 Days of Night). There is a new trailer for Devil that you can watch directly below.

Devil was produced on an estimated $ 10 million budget, which is quite low, as the first film in Shyamalan's The Night Chronicles series of thrillers. I loved that ominous #1 at the beginning of the movie after the Night Chronicles tag and I'm interesting in seeing the concepts/stories for the two other flicks in this series. I had a few complaints with the script and movie overall, but I think it's a solid film, enjoyable to watch and I liked the darker aspects the Dowdle Brothers played with (like the pitch black moments). I doubt everyone will like this as much as I did, but I'm curious to hear other opinions on it. Anyone else see Devil, too?

She's hot and her star is on the rise since the successful debut of Legend of the Seeker. The lovely Tabrett Bethell stars in an indie thriller called 'The Clinic'

The Clinic is the story of expectant mother Beth Church, drugged and abducted from a desolate outback motel. The year is 1979, many years before the advent of DNA. Beth wakens in an ice bath in an abandoned abattoir. Her baby has been removed from her. After searching for a way out she is found by three other young women all in the same predicament.

There is also one other young woman in the same predicament, Beth and the other three women soon discover that it is everyone for themselves as they find themselves in a deadly game of survival.

QuietEarth.us describes the film as part Vanishing, part Saw, and thinks the film looks like it'll bring a much needed twist to the typical backwoods horror genre. It's directed by first timer James Rabbitts, The Clinic also stars Andy Whitfield (Spartacus: Blood and Sand)  and Clare Bowen
