Tom Hardy and Charlize Theron cast in 'Mad Max: Fury Road'

Thomas Hardy has been cast as Max Rockatansky in George Miller's new $100M Mad Max film, Mad Max: Fury Road.

Hardy's previous film credits include Black Hawk Down, Star Trek: Nemesis, Layer Cake and more recently Bronson.

He'll be joined by Charlize Theron, although which character Theron will play remains a mystery, as does the entire storyline.

George Miller has appeared on ABC News, who have then posted a video of his appearance onYouTube. In the video he shows us a glimpse at some of the early vehicle's being built for Mad Max: Fury Road, and then continues to talk a little about the film's casting and the state of Australia's film industry.
