At last, Zoe Saldana finally wins an award!  She's been nominated for so many awards over the last few years that she hasn't won it's ridiculous, and after recently being beaten by Megan Fox for 'Best Sci Fi Actress' at the Spike TV Scream Awards 2009, it looked like a trend that might continue.  

But according to E!Online, Zoe Saldana has finally taken one home. Buried in an article primarily focussed on Alec Baldwin is the news that Saldana earned the Calvin Klein Collection Spotlight Award at Elle magazine's annual women in Hollywood dinner and awards show.

It seems she won the award for her work as Lieutenant Uhura in Star Trek, and here's what Alec Baldwin had to say about it:

"In the movie she actually chooses Mr. Spock over Captain Kirk. That's probably the main reason, she was named woman of the year by the Society of Grown Men Who Still Live in Their Parents' Basements."

As the breakout female star of many of the top movies of the year, including Star Trek (my pick for best movie of the year) and James Cameron's upcoming Avatar, I'm guessing this isn't the last award those grown men living in their parents basements will be voting on for her.
