Have you ever experienced the anxiety of an open house?  I have, and I hate them - even more so when you're renting and it's not your own house!  So the storyline behind the new horror-thriller Open House is perfect to hook me - and creep me out, as do the IMDB keywords for the film ("torture" and "voyeurism").

Open House tells the story of a couple (True Blood stars Anna Paquin and Stephen Moyer) who have a strained marriage and who host an open house to help sell a fairly large property.  Problem is, days later they discover that one of the open house viewers never actually left...

The story has been written and directed by Anna Paquin's brother Andrew who hasn't written or directed anything before, but he has pulled in some top notch stars for the film so good luck to him.  In addition to Paquin and Moyer he also managed to get Battlestar Galactica's Tricia Helfer (whom I personally consider to be an A-Class actress).

The official site went live online in July and, well, the home page still has only this content: "This is text around an image when an image is aligned to the left. Of course, you don’t have to set things this way… " Lol.  But, keep visiting it, I'm sure they'll update it eventually.

Open House is currently in post-production.  Expect to see it in 2010.

UPDATE Oct 18, 2009:  Reports that Anna Paquin and Stephen Moyer are the leads are incorrect, according to Access Hollywood, who also report the two stars will only appear in the first 20 minutes of the film and won't share screen time together.  The three key stars appear to be Brian Geraghty, Tricia Helfer and Rachel Blanchard.
