Riese is is a steampunk sci-fi web-production set to launch online November 2, 2009 that looks pretty damn cool.

The series takes place in a future where the world is screwed and more or less dominated by a religious fundamentalist group calling themselves the Sect.  It follows a girl by the name of Riese who wanders the barren land with her sidekick, a wolf named Fenrir.  Branded a heretic, she must evade capture by the Sect as she  attempts to piece together her past, one that may hold the key to the fate of the world.

Check out the impressive cast list: Christine Chatelain (Sanctuary, Supernatural, The Collector, The L-Word), Ben Cotton (Harper’s Island, Stargate: Atlantis, Stan Helsing), Sharon Taylor (Stargate: Atlantis, Smallville), Patrick Gilmore (Stargate: Universe, Battlestar Galactica, Intelligence) and Ryan Robbins (Sanctuary, Battlestar Gallactica, The Guard).  I mean holy shit!
