After The Expendables, Sylvester Stallone will be hard at work on Rambo V: The Savage Hunt, a film that sees Rambo go up against a genetically created "feral beast" after an elite team fails to stop its rampage towards civilization.  And after that, it seems he's going to make Rocky 7.

Before you start throwing criticism, be aware that Stallone's already well aware of it.

"I know I'll probably make a fool of myself if I make another Rocky film after turning 60," he said. "I also know there's gonna be a lot of criticism. Even my wife says, 'Don't do it. You're embarrassing the kids'. But I told her, 'If I don't try I'll be a really unhappy man.' You have to do it. Artists like me have to go through the dark over and over again."

I thought Rocky Balboa was pretty good, and I thought Rambo 4 was also pretty good. Stallone might be 63, but after watching him do a flying armbar in the recently leaked trailer for The Expendables, I have absolutely no problem with Stallone making Rambo and Rocky movies until he's 80.  Well, maybe 70.

Rambo V: The Savage Hunt is expected to be released in 2011, so I'm guessing Rocky 7 may follow later in the year or 2012, when Sly will be 66 years old.
