‘Law Abiding Citizen’ is the Movie of Choice in the Twitterverse
Posted by Monkey 1 in: All News, Clips & Features, MoviesThere's a new website in town called TwitCritics, which aims to "bring you real-time movie reviews and ratings directly from the Twitterverse." The site is in beta stage but I'm really quite interested in it.
What Twitcritics attempts to do is evaluate a rating for movies based on keywords in tweets. Whilst not foolproof, the ratings are also somewhat user driven in that anyone can check out to see that the tweets it has based its ratings on are accurately positive or negative and, if they are wrong, can be reported as such.
I love the idea. At the moment the number one movie is Amreeka with a 93% rating. Amreeka is a drama centered on an immigrant single mother and her teenage son in small town Illinois. Doesn't sound like my cup of tea. Second on the list is Law Abiding Citizen, which to my mind is really the number one choice in the Twitterverse at this time. Why? Because Law Abiding Citizen is rated at 90% based on almost 2000 tweets, whereas Amreeka's 93% is based on only 50 odd tweets.
Watch a clip from Law Abiding Citizen after the jump.
