Mel Gibson has suffered a lot of negative publicty of late but it looks like he might be about to bounce back with his new film, Edge of Darkness.

Edge of Darkness sees Gibson as a cop who investigates the murder of his daughter, only to uncover secret details about her life that lead him into a world of corporate cover-ups and government collusion.

The screenplay comes from William Monahan (The Departed) and Casino Royale's Martin Campbell directs.  As far as action thrillers go, this looks like one to keep in mind.
