Here's an awesome looking horror film, and I don't say that very often.
Case 39 follows family services worker Emily Jenkins (Renée Zellweger) as she attempts to save 10 year old Lilith Sullivan (Jodelle Ferland) from being murdered by her parents. Emily decides to take her in whilst a foster family is found for her, but the only problem is, there was a reason why her parents wanted her gone...
The film is directed by Pandorum director Christian Alvart. Additional notable cast members include Ian McShane (Deadwood / Kings), Callum Keith Rennie (Battlestar Galactica / Memento), and Bradley Cooper (The A-Team / Alias), amongst others.
Case 39 hits Australian theaters next week on November 5, 2009.
It opens in the US on January 1, 2010.
