Bridget Regan is the perfect Wonder Woman

Bridget Regan is the perfect Wonder Woman

With Legend of the Seeker season 2 rapidly approaching, more and more images have been surfacing.  Over the past few days, every time I look at one of Bridget Regan, I can't help but see Wonder Woman.

I wasn't going to post anything about it until I stumbled on to an MTV interview with Dollhouse star Eliza Dushku.  Dushku's name is regularly brought up in context with being a potential Wonder Woman.  She's a favorite of Joss Whedon and since Whedon wrote a Wonder Woman screenplay, it stands to reason Dushku's name would be in there somewhere.  Well, not officially at least, since Warner Bros. aren't planning to use Whedon's screenplay for their Wonder Woman movie.

Watch what she has to say about the possibility of being Wonder Woman:

I can't blame her for saying it wouldn't disturb her if it happened, but I will say it would disturb me, so much so that there wouldn't be a chance in hell that I'd go see the film.  Let's be honest, she's just not an Amazonian goddess.

Bridget Regan, on the other hand, is.  She has the look, the build, the ability to deliver convincing ass-kicking combat scenes, and she's an excellent actress.  She looks hot in anything she wears and I'm willing to bet that includes even the worst designed Wonder Woman costume.

As it stands the Wonder Woman film seems to be in limbo, but DC have plans to release a Justice League film in the near future, so a live-action Wonder Woman movie has to happen.  It was once scheduled for a 2011 release, though obviously the window of opportunity for that to become a reality is shrinking (if not already gone).

Either way, Wonder Woman will make it to the big-screen and, for what it's worth, the only way I'll head to a cinema to see it is if Bridget Regan's there to greet me.

Out of interest, a couple of months ago MTV conducted a poll asking fans to answer the question of who is the perfect Wonder Woman.  An overwhelming 62% majority voted for Bridget Regan.

Warner Bros., are you listening?
