Jaws

In Steven Spielberg's 1975 masterpiece Jaws, a giant 25ft great white shark terrorizes the small island community of Amity. With that film in mind, you can imagine how freaked out beach goers at Australia's North Stradbroke island must be to know that a great white almost as big as Jaws is lurking nearby.

This real life Jaws has been nicknamed by the media as a "Monster Shark" as it is speculated to be around 20ft long, just five feet smaller than the shark in Jaws. But unlike Jaws, Australia's real monster great white hasn't  killed anyone yet, as far as we know. In fact it doesn't appear that anyone has actually sighted the shark either. The only reason anyone knows about it seems to be the fact that it almost bit a fellow great white shark in half with just two munches.

Take a look at an image and a video news report after the jump:

Despite the Jaws hysteria, let's hope this monster shark gets to go his way unharmed. But let's also hope that before he does, we get to see some footage of this mega shark (that hopefully also includes a Giant Octopus).
