Screenwriter David Goyer has confirmed that plans are underway to shoot Ghost Rider 2 next year. He also confirmed the sequel is not a reboot, that it will go darker than the first, that you won't need to have seen the first movie to get into the second, and that the story will take place 8 years after the first.
