Looks like fans might be able to expect a little more girl-on-girl vampire action in future episodes of True Blood.

When asked by Advocate if he's planning on introducing any more gay characters to the series, creator Alan Ball replied by stating that Eric's sidekick Pam Ravenscroft, played by Kristin Bauer, has a "lesbian vibe" and "certainly appreciates women."

When asked by E!Online, Bauer responded by saying "I wouldn't be surprised. I think she's pansexual."

She also confirmed which lucky lady she'd like to go for - Ginger, played by Tara Buck.

"There are so many hot ones, but I'll pick Ginger," Bauer said. "Ginger's hot. Ginger's fun. She's a screamer and she's a blood donor."

Boyd Shermis, the Visual Effects Supervisor for G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra, narrates the following featurette about that cool looking street action sequence with the accelerator suits.

The featurette is one of the extras on the upcoming (Nov 3) DVD and Blu-ray release.

Battlestar Galactica: The Plan

Battlestar Galactica: The Plan is a made-for-DVD BSG movie written by Jane Espenson and directed by Edward James Olmos (aka Admiral William Adama).

The movie, if it even qualifies as that, begins nine months and two weeks after the attack on the colonies, then within two minutes jumps back ten months to two weeks before the attack. That's the first jump in a series of jumps that speed the film forward through various scenes that take place over the course of the next ten months, scenes which chronicle the aftermath  of the attack from the perspective of the Cylons as they struggle to handle something they didn't anticipate: human survivors.

In the lead up to its release, here's two key things Olmos had to say about it:

The Plan is … literally, at the beginning of every single episode you see that the Cylons are created by man, there are many of them, and some of them don’t know that they are Cylons. And they have a plan. Well, this is the plan. This is what caused this to happen.”

and

”When Battlestar fans see The Plan, they’re all going to have to go back and watch the entire series again.”

Perhaps the biggest disappointment of The Plan is that it proves both of those statements utterly wrong which, when added to his now legendary outburst on Attack of the Show claiming that BSG had influenced the UN to amend its non-existent 1947 charter, well, that's three strikes and you're out.

‘Gattaca’ the TV Series?

Ethan Hawke as Vincent Freeman in 'Gattaca'

Rescue Me's production company Apostle has apparently acquired the rights to the 1997 Gattaca feature film and intend to turn it into a television series.

Variety, who buried the news at the foot of another article, reports the intention is to produce the series as a futuristic one-hour cop show with Gil Grant writing. Grant's writing includes the pilot Painkiller Jane, a couple of episodes of NCIS, Mutant X, and 24.

Though I have my doubts that Grant is up to the task of translating such a cult film as Gattaca effectively on to the small screen, I'm also good to see what he can come up with.

For now, there are no more details available.

Bridget Regan, the gorgeous star of Legend of the Seeker and fan favorite for Wonder Woman, was interviewed on Fox 5 Morning News yesterday.

Despite the interview going for more than 5 minutes, the dumb-ass interviewer barely asked any questions of interest and couldn't even get the series name right, insultingly referring to it as "Legend of the Seekers" until the name of the series popped up on a screen at the end and she was able to read it (which was surprising in itself).

Still, in addition to demonstrating why morning show hosts should never breed, fans can get to feast their eyes upon Bridget Regan for a full five minutes and she does manage to squeeze in a few seconds of commentary regarding the upcoming second season.

Darth Talon Premium Format Figure (click to enlarge)

As soon as I saw this Darth Talon Premium Format Figure I thought it was so cool I decided a category of 'Cool Stuff' was necessary on this site.

Problem is, I'm not the only one to think it's cool. All 400 Limited Edition units of Darth Talon sold out within hours of the figure being launched by Sideshow Collectibles overnight.

If you're despairing about missing out, you might still be in luck. An authorized Sideshow dealer has two of these babies up for auction on Ebay. Best of all, they're listed at a BIN price that is the same as the original RRP ($279.99), so this is truly an opportunity to score one of the last remaining Darth Talon Premium Format Figures before they're all gone.

Here's the very short first teaser for the sixth and final season of Lost.

Be aware that there is no new footage in this teaser, and, apparently, nor will there be any new footage from the final season released prior to the season going to air. Word is the producers have convinced ABC that the new season is so full of twists that to release even a snippet of footage would work against the series. So it looks like the only teasers we'll get will be scenes from previous seasons mashed together. With that in mind, there are actually some fan made trailers on YouTube that are better than this teaser, but you get that. It's still a great idea and definitely has me chomping at the bit to see the new season.

No exact air date has been announced, although expect it to kick off during January 2010. Then, mid February, after just a four (or so) episodes, expect a two week hiatus as the ABC takes Lost off air to make sure it doesn't compete with the Olympics.
